Knowledge sharing on Citydoc training days

This month we have hosted the CityDoc Travel Health Study Day in Sussex and Luton, Bedfordshire.

We welcomed practice nurses from local GP surgeries, who enjoyed presentations from a number of speakers including Jane Chiodini MBE. A variety of travel health topics were covered such as Malaria, Rabies and Japanese Encephalitis.

One of the key takeaways from the event was the discussion around tropical diseases spreading geographically due to global warming, meaning cases are being discovered further afield than ever before.
